Project Planning & Timelines

How long does a typical project take?

Project timelines depend on what we're building and how quickly you can make decisions. An e-commerce platform that integrates with your existing systems: 8-12 weeks. A high-performance marketing site: 4-6 weeks. We don't pad timelines to look busy - you get a realistic roadmap in your proposal, with milestones tied to your go-to-market strategy.

What happens if my project takes longer than estimated?

If delays are on our end, you don't pay extra - we own our estimates. If scope changes or decision-making slows down, we'll flag it immediately and adjust the timeline. We don't let projects drift. You'll know exactly where things stand at every milestone, and we'll tell you what's blocking progress before it becomes a problem.

Can you start immediately or is there a waiting period?

Most projects start within 1-2 weeks of agreement. We don't overbook. If we can't start within that window, we'll tell you upfront and give you an exact start date. We'd rather be honest about capacity than take your deposit and leave you waiting. Rush projects are possible depending on scope - email us at info@threelions.io to discuss.

Technical Infrastructure & Support

Do you handle all technical aspects including hosting?

Yes - and this is non-negotiable for most projects. We manage domains, DNS, email configuration, hosting, and security. You get one point of contact for everything, not a game of "that's not our problem" when something breaks. Your infrastructure works as a system, not a collection of services you're supposed to understand. We include this in project pricing because fragmented technical management is how businesses end up with downtime they can't afford.

What happens if something breaks after launch?

Every project includes 30 days of post-launch support for bugs and technical issues. If it's something we built and it breaks, we fix it. Beyond 30 days, you'll want a maintenance package - security updates don't stop, and performance monitoring prevents problems before customers notice. Most clients stay with us because finding someone else to maintain code they didn't write is expensive and risky.

Do you provide ongoing support?

We do. Every project includes 30 days of post-launch support - because things always come up. Beyond that, we offer maintenance packages: security updates, performance monitoring, and technical support. Most clients choose ongoing support because their business doesn't stop growing after launch. We're not interested in building something, handing it off, and disappearing. Your digital infrastructure needs attention, and we'd rather it be us than someone starting from scratch.

What if I need emergency support outside business hours?

Maintenance packages include priority support with response time guarantees. Critical infrastructure issues get handled immediately. We're not a 24/7 call center, but we respond to emergencies that affect your business operations. If your site goes down at 2am and costs you money, we care about that. Standard support requests get handled during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm GMT).

Security & Audits

What is a website security audit?

A website security audit is a comprehensive assessment of your site's security posture. We examine your infrastructure, scan for vulnerabilities, review access controls, assess data handling practices, and check compliance with standards like GDPR and PCI DSS. You receive a detailed report with prioritised recommendations and remediation guidance. It's like a health check for your digital presence - finding problems before attackers do.

How much does a security audit cost?

Professional security audits typically range from £500 to £3,000 depending on site complexity. A 10-page brochure site costs less than an e-commerce platform with customer accounts and payment processing. We include both automated scanning and manual testing, plus a detailed report with prioritised recommendations. Contact us for a specific quote based on your site.

How often should I get a security audit?

At minimum, annually with quarterly automated scans. More frequently if you handle payment data, frequently add new features, operate in a regulated industry, or have been targeted before. After any major change - CMS upgrades, new e-commerce functionality, infrastructure changes - you should get a fresh assessment. Security isn't a one-time project; threats evolve constantly.

Do you only audit WordPress sites?

No. We audit any website platform - WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, custom applications, or anything else. Our Website Security Audits service under Custom Secure Web Services covers all platforms. For WordPress specifically, we also offer dedicated WordPress Security Audits with platform-specific expertise.

What happens after the audit?

You receive a detailed report categorising findings by severity. Critical issues need immediate attention; lower-priority items can be scheduled. We provide specific, actionable recommendations - not just a list of problems. If you need help implementing fixes, we offer remediation support. We don't just report problems and disappear.

Integration & Compatibility

Can you work with our existing systems?

We integrate with Shopify, WordPress, custom APIs, CRMs, payment gateways - whatever you're currently using. The question isn't "can we connect to it" but "should we." Sometimes your existing system is holding you back, and we'll tell you. We don't rip and replace unless there's a commercial reason. Technology stack decisions should be driven by your business strategy, not our preference for shiny tools.

What if our current platform needs to be replaced?

We'll tell you during discovery if your current system is a liability. Migration isn't about moving everything - it's about moving what matters and improving what didn't work. We plan migrations to minimize downtime, preserve SEO value, and keep your business running. You won't wake up to a broken site. Migrations include data validation, redirect mapping, and parallel testing before switchover.

Portfolio & Experience

Can we see examples of your previous work?

Sure. Visit our Projects page to see recent work including secure e-commerce platforms, brand websites, and system integrations. Each case study shows the business challenges addressed and what we delivered - not just pretty screenshots. You'll see work for record labels, photography businesses, and e-commerce stores. If you need examples specific to your industry, email us at info@threelions.io and we'll share relevant projects.

Have you worked with businesses in our industry before?

Most likely. We've built e-commerce platforms, professional service websites, content management systems, and custom applications across multiple industries. Industry experience matters less than understanding business problems. Your challenges around conversions, security, or integration aren't unique to your sector - they're common business problems we solve repeatedly. We learn your industry fast and apply proven solutions, not templates.
